Who is behind NewEra?
My name is Adrian Garthaus, and I bring over ten years of playing experience in MLS Next, DA, and Ecnl, and five years of playing experience at the professional, collegiate, and semi-professional level. Throughout my career, I have been exposed to every side of the game—high-pressure competition, setbacks, injuries, leadership roles, and the constant demand for consistency. I have experienced the sport inside and out both physically and mentally, learning how to perform through adversity, managing expectations, and pushing through challenges when the odds were not in my favor. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the game beyond tactics and technique, giving me a deep appreciation for the mental toughness, discipline, and resilience required to succeed at higher levels of soccer.

What I do, and my process
My approach behind NewEra, is built around transparency, strategy, and first-hand experience with the college recruiting landscape. I guide my clients through every stage of the recruiting process, beginning with targeted outreach and personalized communication with college coaches. This includes identifying the right programs, crafting effective emails, and ensuring each athlete’s profile is presented in a way that aligns with what coaches are actively recruiting for.
Beyond initial contact, I work closely with athletes and their families to evaluate schools based on athletic fit, academic offerings, playing style, culture, and long-term development. My goal is to help each client find a program where they can realistically contribute, grow, and succeed both on and off the field.
I also play a hands-on role in helping athletes earn offers by leveraging my first-hand relationships with college coaches. Because I understand what coaches are looking for and maintain direct lines of communication with them, I am able to advocate effectively for my clients and create opportunities that might not be accessible through the standard recruiting process alone. Having been through this journey myself, I understand the pressures and uncertainty athletes face, and I use that insight to guide them with clarity, honesty, and purpose.
